Compact and Powerful: At just half the size of a credit card, the Micro:bit V2 is a powerhouse of technology, boasting 25 red LED lights for flashing messages, two programmable buttons for game control and music playback, and the ability to detect motion and direction. It even supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for seamless interaction with other devices and the Internet.
Enhanced Front Panel: The 5×5 LED array is perfect for drawing, displaying words, numbers, and information. The two programmable buttons remain cute and functional.
Sound and Touch: The V2 board includes a MEMS microphone input hole with a mic indicator LED, offering sound input capabilities. Moreover, the Micro:bit logo now functions as a capacitive touch sensor, bringing an exciting touch element to your creations.
Upgraded Performance: The microcontroller on the Micro:bit V2 has been upgraded to nRF52833, featuring double the memory size with 512KB Flash and eight times more RAM at 128KB. With these enhancements, the Micro:bit V2 supports Bluetooth 5.1 and BLE, offering cutting-edge connectivity. The co-microcontroller handling USB connections, KL26Z, has been upgraded to KL27Z with 32KB of RAM. The Micro:bit V2 still comes with an accelerometer, compass, Bluetooth Smart antenna, micro USB, and a two-pin JST connector for versatile power options.
Effortless Connectivity: The 20 gold-tabbed edge pins, now equipped with notched edges, make connecting external components a breeze. Use crocodile clips or alligator clips with ease.
