1. 7-Day Replacement Guarantee
If your order arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, you have 7 calendar days from the date of successful delivery (as indicated by the courier’s tracking system) to initiate an Outright Replacement request.
- Proof of Receipt: We strongly recommend filming a short “unboxing and initial power-on” video. This serves as your fastest verification for “Dead on Arrival” (DOA) claims and transit damage.
- Mandatory Contact: Please contact us before shipping any item back. We may provide technical troubleshooting to resolve the issue remotely. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
2. Shipping & Reimbursement Rules
To ensure a fair process for everyone, shipping costs are handled as follows:
- Incorrect Shipments: If we sent the wrong item, MakerPH will shoulder all shipping costs for the return and the correct replacement.
- Warranty Claims (Manufacturing Defects): Initial return shipping is shouldered by the customer. If our Quality Control team confirms a manufacturing defect, MakerPH will reimburse your shipping cost (via store credit) and ship the replacement for free.
- User Error / No Defect Found: If the item is found to be functional (e.g., code issue) or damaged due to user error (e.g., short circuit), the customer must settle the return shipping fee before the item is sent back.
- The Receipt Rule: To process any reimbursement, you must provide a clear photo or screenshot of the courier’s official receipt or electronic invoice showing the exact amount paid. Without a valid receipt, we are unable to reimburse shipping costs.
3. Warranty Eligibility (The “Maker” Clause)
We offer a warranty to cover manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. However, the warranty DOES NOT cover the following “User-Error” conditions:
- Electrical Stress: Damage from incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, or short circuits.
- Overvoltage: Use of power supplies exceeding specified voltage/current ratings.
- Permanent Mods: Soldering, desoldering, or altering circuits and traces on the PCB.
- Physical Damage: Drops, impact, water exposure, or tampering with seals.
- Intense Usage: Items used in combat robotics, competitions, or industrial loads.
- Motor Misuse: Operating motors beyond the driver’s intended design/capacity.
4. Incorrect or Damaged Shipments
- Damaged in Transit: Contact us immediately with photos of the damaged box and item before opening the internal seal.
- The “Power-Up” Rule: For electronics, the moment a component is connected to power or soldered, it is considered “used.”
- ESD Packaging: Incorrect items must be returned in their original, unopened clear anti-static (ESD) bag. Once the seal is broken or the bag is cut, we can no longer accept it as an “Incorrect Item” return.
5. Beyond the 7-Day Window
If more than 7 days have passed since delivery, the item no longer qualifies for an outright replacement through MakerPH. However, many of our specialized components carry a Manufacturer’s Warranty. We are happy to provide technical guidance or assist you in contacting the manufacturer for further support.
6. Processing Time
Our Quality Control team will process your request within 7 business days of receiving the item. Approved claims will result in a replacement, refund, or store credit depending on stock availability.
